Sharing information with SharePoint

Collaboration, coordinating projects, simplifying communications are in part the reasons why I am quickly learning as much as I can about SharePoint. Although my current employer may not be open to the idea, I am personally looking at using this tool to facilitate my access to resources, other users and business communications.
